Plan your visit - Hang out in Elk Rapids!
- PARKING: There will be NO PARKING on River Street this year...Public Parking is available in the municipal lot behind Cellar and (respectfully) on the side streets in neighborhoods near the event. Bring a wagon for the kiddos! Handicapped parking is available at Spruce Street - please notify us at [email protected] if needed
- Have lunch at a picnic table in the park - Pack or grab - Hot Dogs or Tacos are available at Nature Fest plus several restaurants in town with takeout
- Bring your reusable mugs and cups for coffee, water, bottle filler at the public restroom
- Bring your beach gear: swim wear, beach toys, beach towels, sunscreen. Nature Fest is located on a beautiful, sandy public beach with a playground on the shore of Lake Michigan.
- Bring your Paddle Board: there are multiple public access points in which to launch your board

- Check out the Antique Boat and Car shows downtown, also on June 8th
- There are lots of places to explore in Downtown Elk Rapids, don't forget to check out Ames street (east of 31)!

HERTH: Historic Elk Rapids Townhall - Location of Nature Fest Information Hub, kids' storytelling
Nature Fest Booths located in ​Memorial park which features a modest beach on the Grand Traverse Bay and has plenty of space to spread out a blanket for a picnic. The north end has a basketball and tennis courts, with the southern end has a nice wooded area that is perfect for spotting local birds. There is a playground area for young children.
